Telus October Trail Days 2014 (October 18 and 25, 2014) Bobsled Trails on Fromme Mtn.
NSMBA (North Shore Mountain Bike Association)
In right top left hand corner…. A damaging “drainage” ditch dug (also see previous photo) and so much gold dirt dug out of the forest floor, off-trail, to create a “riding berm” for Mtn.bikes. Look at all that ecological damage done in the name of mountain biking.

"There is a critical relationship between geomorphology, surface drainage and groundwater.
Groundwater is one of the main elements of slope stability since effective stress is controlled primarily by water. Any activity or development that affects the surface or subsurface drainage will therefore influence the effective stress and in turn slope stability."
